Over the years, the Theo Pouw Groep has built up a strong position as a supplier for the soil, road, water and concrete construction industry. Our staff complement has grown considerably to more than 430 employees. We are known for our flexibility and wide range of services, such as supplying primary and secondary building materials; manufacturing concrete; taking delivery of, processing and cleaning soil; demolition work; recycling building and demolition waste; and renting out cranes, wheel loaders, trucks and skips.
Theo Pouw bv started out in 1981 as a transport firm and supplier of primary building materials, expanding its activities over the years. In 2004, it took over soil remediation company Bodemsanering Nederland bv. It added a depot in Lelystad in 2004 and a 25 hectare site in Eemshaven in 2005, and finally another site in Akkrum in 2011. In 2012, the name Bodemsanering Nederland bv was changed to Theo Pouw Secundaire Bouwstoffen Weert bv.
The Theo Pouw Groep comprises Theo Pouw bv - Utrecht (Theo Pouw Groep head office) and Lelystad, Theo Pouw Secundaire Bouwstoffen bv - Eemshaven and Akkrum, Theo Pouw Secundaire Bouwstoffen Weert bv and container terminals CTU bv - Utrecht, CTU Rivierenland bv - Tiel and CTU Flevokust bv - Lelystad.
We view sustainability and corporate social responsibility as one of our missions. We have known for decades that soil and building materials can be reused time and time again; an insight that, in the last 30 years, has resulted in a wide range of energy-saving measures and sustainable technologies. A key step for this is reaching the third rung of the CO2 Performance Ladder on 26 January 2012.
